By failing to maintain the drainage of rain water, your Home is at serious risk of cracks, leaks, mold, and structural damage.

The FACTS

During a typical rainstorm, a 1,000 square foot roof (40’x25’) can collect more than 600 gallons of runoff for every 1" of rain that falls.

A heavy rainfall will contribute thousands of gallons of water that discharges from the downspouts of your home.

Downspouts and Yard Drainage are commonly ignored by homeowners, builders, and other waterproofing companies.

Damage from poor drainage occurs gradually over time and may go unnoticed or dismissed as ‘No big deal.’

Keeping the storm water off of your home’s foundation is key to protecting your home from more serious damage.

The professionals at Aquaproof can help!

THE PROBLEM

As the downspouts dump the excessive water at your foundation, the water erodes the soil and surroundings. This will slowly, but significantly, deteriorate the concrete or block foundation of your home & likely damage or clog the existing waterproofing system.

This corrosion will create cracks in the foundation which will allow water and moisture to enter your home.

The massive amounts of water can also fill window wells and flood your basement.

Splash blocks only spread water around the foundation and saturate the ground, allowing the standing water to breakdown the foundations.

Over time, the footing of your foundation will be undermined, allowing more water and continuous cracking of your foundations, walls, footing, and floors.

Due to the instability of the foundation, cracks will appear inside the home above windows and doorways, eventually making doors and windows difficult to open and shut.

If the drainage is not corrected, it will result in structural damage so severe that walls bow & underpinning (jacking-up) your foundation is necessary to save your home & prevent further damage.
